NEWGAMEGOLD.COM: Nothing But Tired Old Promises (1/2)
Call me jaded, but I’m always weary of WoW Gold sellers that proclaim to be great, fantastic and, yes, new.
Because as NewGoldGamer.com has proven yet again, slapping on that three-letter word doesn’t make your services any bit as fresh.
Instead, NewGameGold.com offers a stale selection of WoW Gold and powerleveling wares. Nothing’s rotten yet, but you have this sinking feeling that everything’s just about to.
Barely Legible
One of the most positive things I can say about this website is that their copy is at least legible, meaning you won’t be bombarded with awkward Americanisms and murderous syntax. Not to say that it’s grammar perfect (Our Fearures, anyone?).
While we’re on this page, let’s take a closer look at their promises. No pleasant surprises here. Just the stock answers you’d expect to find in any other About Us page.
Reading through these descriptions is like taking a Xanax. But one thing did make me raise an eyebrow: "We use no bots or hacks to do the powerlevelings ". Are you sure you’re not lying to us, NewGameGold? If I’m to believe my industry sources, they swear manual leveling is as extinct as the T. rex.
But maybe this seller is the exception rather than the rule? Problem is NewGameGold doesn’t exactly inspire confidence that they’re a personalized leveling boutique.
Can You Even Call It Powerleveling?
First, their powerleveling services are outdated by one whole expansion. Only until level 80, seriously?
Second, NewGameGold takes a half month to get you to almost endgame raiding, compared to the 4 days it takes for you to do it using Zygor Guides (although a more realistic timeframe is 6 days, according to Remus and Cletus who’ve tested it out).
Still, that’s more than double the time it takes for you to perform the dirty task yourself. Remember that this doesn’t include the 80-85 slog that is traditionally the longest because Blizzard hasn’t nerfed the xp scale for the latest content yet.
And yes, you may also have noticed the ridiculous $300 price they ask for this incomplete and slowpoke service.
Next week, I move on to the WoW Gold side of their business. And if you’re expecting that to be any better, then I’d suggest you skip reading my RSS feed and raid Morchok instead. You’ll have more fun with the tank-and-spank fight than the bland offerings found at NewGameGold.com.
