"you could bring up the issue of selling gold (which is illegal due to the terms of use) in which case blizzard could sue them for gookoos of bucks. So call em what you want, dont worry about being sued!"

I know this is an old comment, but I should point out that something being against the terms of service is not the same thing as being illegal. It is not illegal for you to allow someone else to use your account, it is against the terms of service which can result in a banning but certainly not incarceration of course.

As to the second part, Blizzard would sue but the precedence is against them in this case so the only thing they would hope to do is make the legal proceedings as expensive for the sellers as possible by dragging out a civil case.

Don't worry about being sued. If these people took you to court you could bring up the issue of selling gold (which is illegal due to the terms of use) in which case blizzard could sue them for gookoos of bucks. So call em what you want, dont worry about being sued! :)

It's kind of funny... I had never actually heard of this website, mostly because I'm never in trade chat. Ever. Until I decided to make an Alliance toon on an overly populated Horde server, and since there are only about 10 of us online at any given time (9 if you take my boyfriend outta the mix) I figure trade chat was safe. The first and only time I went to the website caused all sorts of problems on my computer. Starting that day something was causing my computer to change DNS servers, rendering my internet access unusable. It took me forever of looking around and looking around to find out what was happening, then came the process of cleaning up my computer to stop this from happening again.

It was the ONLY questionable site I had gone to in well over a month. It started the day I went to their site and has not happened again (since I will never go there again). I guess I should be glad I had already gone the route of the authenticator, or I might have found myself in your friend's situation.
