MMOVIRTEX.COM: TAKING THE BAREBONES APPROACH Plus And I Really Mean Barebones (1/3)

In an industry that’s riddled with badly-designed gold-selling sites (ya know, tacky images, tacky copy, tacky everything), it shocks me to come across a site that is so simple I can’t help but wonder if the seller is about to close shop or simply doesn’t care to stand out in a sea of attention whores.

Like this site….

MMOVirtex.com. Vegas-style design theatrics ain’t on the menu as far as these guys are concerned. I’m getting a take-it-or-leave-it vibe here.

I’ll take it! (If only to see what their edge is over their gaudy counterparts)

Let’s check them out.

MMOVirtex Welcome copy

"Our goal is to provide you competitive pricing. We do not believe another seller can offer you prices 50% lower than ours because we’re all humans, we all get it the same way." — Uh huh….we all get what the same way? My imagination is running wild.

"Our goal is to set new standards in the meaning of Virtex!" — whoa, nosebleed!

MMOVirtex FAQ

Payment is currently the only method we accept. — DUH!!!!

Because we will not spam you or submit your personal information to any third party. We will only contact you of special promotions and updates. — You will contact us how and where? In the game? I hope not. The day you whisper me your spammy promotions while I’m playing is the day you sign your death warrant.

MMOVirtex Testimonials

Gee, latest testimonial is a year old. I wonder how their business is doing.

Let’s go to Live Help.

LOL!! LOL!! Where would chat agents be without dem macros?

Oh BTW, that should be Frost Path, not Frost Trap (was still in hunter mode then). And seriously, I was doing H-AN with a bunch of random peeps from different servers and the idiot Death Knight in our little party switched on Frost Path just before we jumped into the chasm.

Splat! Splat! Splat! Splat! Splat!

Voting him out was the most beautiful two seconds of my life.

Looks like Fiona used up her all macros.

Oh well, time to order.

To be continued.

Isn’t mmovertix’s website identical to rpgrader except for a slight color variation?

    The FAQ seems strangely familiar.
