EPICTOON.COM: YA GOT SOMETHING EPIC FOR MY TOON? (1/4)
You kids remember that anti-spam newsletter that came out sometime in August? The one called Cleaning Up The Industry ? That newsletter spawned copycats left, right, front, back and center — all coming from the circle of notorious gold sellers who they themselves are the Grand Master Spammers in the game and definitely NOT in the list of trusted gold-selling sites in the original newsletter.
Speaking about said list, the latest gold seller under the microscope is Epictoon.com. Most of the sites in the list like Mogs.com , IGE.com , and Gamemasta.com "went through the WGF wringer" (as Remus calls it) and did pretty well. I figured it’s time to check out this site and see if they can cut the mustard.
First, their claim to be anti-spam….
I’m on several realms and so far I haven’t seen a single message on Trade chat or received a single whisper from Epictoon. None of my friends have received spam in any form from them either, so I guess they pass that first scrutiny.
Now on to the home page…

Ain’t that a neat mascot? But what the hell is he supposed to be?
I like how you can just order right off the bat on the home page and go to Checkout. It’s like what I always say: I don’t like too many bells and whistles on a site and I just want a quick, painless buying process without having to go through several pages.
They’ve hopped on the social networking bandwagon too…
And lemme guess: EpicToon is run by a bunch of hippies:

Serious question coming up: are your computers solar powered? Another serious question: do you exclusively use night elf druids to farm gold? One last serious question (I swear this is serious!): are you a member of D.E.H.T.A ?
Let’s try to get those answers from Live Chat! But first the prices. I picked one of my servers.

Smallest block is at 1500 gold.
Guess $11.49 for 1500 gold is a fair enough price.
Let’s find out more about them before I bug their Live Chat…

Many gamers enjoy the benefits of Real Money Trading (RMT) and are frustrated with the bad service, terrible English and spam-and-scam business strategies of the Chinese gold sellers. — Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt. The things I do to review everyone in this Godforsaken industry!

Epic Guarantee: We proudly offer a no-questions-asked money back guarantee. If, at any time prior to delivery, you want your money back for any reason, we will refund it. We are proud to note that fewer than one percent of customers have felt the need to request a refund. - Wow, that’s sweet. I’ve had enough of epic tussles of Biblical proportions with customer support just to get my money back. Nice to know I can get my money back sans drama and threats. And fewer than 1% you say? Interesting. Got a pie chart for that? ("I like pie", says Cletus)
I have a ton of (annoying) questions to ask Live Chat but it’s time to get ready for work.
To be continued.

Oooo…another EGF pray. They don’t sound and smell Chinese, though. Or, maybe they’ve been to Harvard or somewhere else to look for a good english-speaking copywriter. Possible. Well, just show them no mercy!

After reading your post and getting scammed by one of these soulless chinese bastards, I went ahead and tested epictoon for 1500g myself…
And I am excited to tell you that after following their order tracking system (which, in this case, works beautifully) they delivered my gold within 12 hours
I dont know if this is so fast or as secure with larger orders, but these guys know what they are doing.
I am also pending a 2000g purchase from WoW Gold Pig… its been 10 hours since I ordered from there and not a word, however it is far too soon to judge.
