REGARDING COMMENTS…AGAIN
I’m back and so is my insomnia. I decided to reprint my MySpace blog post here because for the umpteenth time, I saw some pending comments from people demanding that I remove my recommended sites from the medal roster or Honorable Mention section because "they suck".
People, the deathless line "they suck" ain’t gonna work…especially if you included an invalid email address along with your comment. Here’s why:
If you have a legitimate complaint about one of my recommended sites and you insist that I reevaluate said gold seller, you better be honest - and brave - enough to leave a real email address so I can get in touch with you for more details. I’m not going to be swayed by your one-liner whining into giving a medalist or honorable mention awardee the boot, because I demand FACTS - not fabrication - in order for me to properly investigate any slip-ups. A sentence like "they didn’t give me my gold and it’s been 7 days they suck" isn’t going to cut it. I’ve seen trollish comments like that one come from very suspicious IPs, leading me into thinking they could have been written by a competitor of one of my awardees.
Or maybe such a comment could have come from a real customer who might have been hesitant to give his email address for fear I might forward it to the seller without his permission. FYI: I will never share or divulge my customer’s contact details to ANYONE unless I have their blessing. Hope that settles whatever apprehension you might have.
However, it’s not really my job to come in between a customer and a seller to set things right between them. That’s the job of the seller’s customer support team. My job is to hunt for the best sites we can shop at, and keep checking on the consistency of their service. You as a customer and reader of my site can help me with the latter by providing me with useful and truthful information, but if you choose to cloak yourself behind a fake email add and not provide me with the facts, then you’re only fooling yourself and pissing me off.
Additionally, someone asked me if I would ever give the RMT sites who did poorly in past reviews a chance to redeem themselves. My answer to that is: definitely! Well, maybe except for those who engage in rabid spamming because that very act alone DISQUALIFIES one from getting into my good books, and I’d rather stick a fork in a socket than plunk down money to reevaluate a notorious in-game spammer because, hell, what’s the point of spending on a "second-chance review" that will just end up badly?
And yeah, in case you’re wondering, I HAVE revisited a few victims to see if there’s been any improvement in their service.
Unfortunately, three out of the three I checked still didn’t do so well. =(

LOL. I believe that it’s those Chinese scammers who send those messages. Let them know that they can’t put a good site down.
