POLL RESULTS: WE NEED OUR GOLD FIX
Wow, so Cletus finally got around to taking down the poll and handing over the results to yours truly. I thought he had forgotten all about it. Remind me to start paying him ON TIME!
So I asked you guys to imagine an RMT-less scenario where we have to farm for our own gold…
And 34% of you said you’d keep your WoW sub but PROBABLY not for long.
29% of you don’t care because you already have all the gold you need. (Well, lucky you!)
24% said they don’t have the time to work for their own virtual moolah so they’ll just cancel their sub.
13% said they’ll keep their sub, throw their dignity out the window and just beg for gold.
I created that poll when the news broke out that the Chinese govenment was going to stamp out RMT for good, which turned out to be a whole misunderstanding.Whew.
Still gave me quite a fright though. Imagine yourself as a new WoW player, without a solid set of friends in the game to guide you and give you start-up money for better gear and stuff…and you have no choice but to farm your own gold. And as you level — painfully — no one wants you in their raids because your gear sucks or you don’t have a mount yet and they don’t want to have to wait for you. Sad, eh?
Oh well, moving on….
I have a whole bunch of alts I need to level to 80 before Cataclysm drops next year. I want them all geared and vicious and ready for the new content.
And no, no Alliance among those alts.

Can’t the Chinese government do something about the notorious spammers in the game like g2by.com? I am getting fed up of seeing their bots form letters in faction cities and ruining my gaming! There ought to be a very severe penalty for that offense.
