A SHAME-ON-THEM-POST: CHINESE PRISON STUDIO???
One of my readers sent me a link to an MMOBux article on some Chinese Prison Studio. Here’s the full quote:
Chinese Prison Studio
By rpgresellerdotcom, Oct 29, 2008
Many new employment opportunities appeared because of the development of Online Games. This should be a good thing for China which has a large population base. However, working as a professional player becomes a quite controversial career. Is this working opportunities really helpful to the social employment problem and the sustainable development? A crazier job has showed up even before the calm down of this argument.
A prison warden of Heilongjiang province, China started a Prison Studio named DNF with a boss of a local gaming studio. Each day three shifts of prisoners taking turns to receive this new form of reformation in this studio. Their payment is one additional ham and a piece of bread.Let’s forget about if it is right, legal and ethical to do this first. It is way too cheap for them to hire these prisoners.
Let’s do a math: if there’re three groups of prisoners doing the power leveling with 20 people in each group, and the average wage for a player in a normal studio is 1000 RMB ($146) per month, then for 60 people the total is 60,000RMB ($8777). While the cost of a ham and a piece of bread is 1RMB ($0.146), for 60 people their total wage for a month is 1800RMB ($263).
Oh sweet Jesus.
This is just so wrong.
I do not and will not condone this atrocity!
What gold-selling site is responsible for this inhumane practice?
Someone tell me please so that my friends, readers and I will never have to make the mistake of doing business with them!

I’ve seen and read this post, too.
I don’t think this is true. From the original post, there was a picture of prisoners but they’re not playing games. It seems like they’re peeling potatoes or whatever. I think this is just a made-up article. The writer is obviously targeting RMTs who have hired Chinese players to farm for them. After reading this write-up, I already know this is a false accusation. Why?
1. Who would train these prisoners to play online games? C’mon. You’ve gotta be kidding me.
2. It’s against their labor code to pay the prisoners with something like a piece of ham and a bread. I researched this only for this article. This writer should research more.
3. Lastly, why the prisoners? Just why?
I know writers should have write a well-researched article before publishing it or in this case, post it. Obviously, he is just a piece of bullcrap who know nothing about what he is writing.
For you rpgsellerdotcom, 0 credibility.. As in zip, nada, ZERO. You should research more. You are one crappy writer.

MOGS.com is a joke. They obviously pay the reviewers to paint them as THE site to go to. I wouldn’t be surprised if they try to bribe you, EGF. Kick their asses!
