IGXE: RIPPING-OFF, ER, IMITATION IS THE SINCEREST FORM OF FLATTERY Plus Zoe is Very Very Busy (1/3)
Before I start my next gold-selling site review caper, er, assignment, allow me to thank first the readers who took the time to send me private messages expressing their support for my blog. I’m amazed how readership has grown since I started WoWGoldFacts . From my first withering review on WoWMine to the total holocaust that was THSale to the slaughtering of SwagVault , the number of people tuning in to my personal saga is steadily increasing. So from the bottom of my heart, I thank you and I love you all!
Anyway…
For my next fact-checking venture, my good friend and easy-to-loan-money-from confidant Remus suggested that I do IGXE.
Now this is a name that cracks me up. In my humble opinion, it is such a flippin’ rip-off/knock-off of IGE , long considered to be the juggernaut of the gold-selling industry but had been going through some rough patches. Remus says it all started when ownership of the company changed hands and people got turned off. I didn’t quite get the rationale behind that one because personally, I don’t give a rat’s a** who runs which gold-selling site. Same thing with that Michael Ovitz brouhaha when he was head honcho at Disney. Insiders trash-talked him to the press but that didn’t stop me and millions of others from watching Disney flicks and patronizing The Happiest Place On Earth, post-spinning teacup ride barfing notwithstanding.
Then there’s that other issue with the lawsuit slapped by some dude named Antonio Hernandez who kvetched that IGE is ruining the playing experience by selling gold. Or something like that. Both Remus and Cletus think Hernandez has issues that date back to his childhood. I’d like to tell Hernandez that if he’s hell-bent on saving the MMORPG world from gold sellers, he may as well sue the likes of WoWMine, THSale, Swagvault and the copycat which is IGXE, plus 10 bazillion other gold-selling sites.
But I digress…
Anyway, going back to IGXE, I checked their website and the first three words that hit me like a bolt of lightning were:
SO F***ING CLUTTERED
Okay, so what’s the first thing I spelled out when I outlined my criteria for rating gold-selling sites? I. JUST. WANT. AN. EASY-TO-USE SITE. There’s too much text and too many graphics on the home page, I didn’t know if I should start searching for Waldo. Then after clicking on some random link, I found what is probably the most blatant of all search-engine optimization text:
How many times can one say "cheap" without sounding…cheap? Cheap wow gold this and cheap wow gold that. But when I compared IGXE’s gold to IGE’s , it was the latter who still came up with the lower price!
And what’s up with this banner? The blood elf chick looks like she’s getting frisky with the dude beside her. Ants in his pants and in need of a little scratching? And free WoW GUILDS ? Huh?
Oh well, time to contact customer support and see how helpful they are….
Holy cow, it took 20 minutes before someone finally picked up the chat. TWENTY MINUTES! In those 20 minutes I managed to listen to Iron Butterfly’s epic "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" , with time to spare for flossing my teeth and hacking into the NYSE’s database. (Okay, kidding about the NYSE)
And talk about rotten luck — my screen capture software’s trial period expired the very second Zoe of IGXE gave her opening line!!! Aaaarrrghhh!! I scrambled online for a similar software package with a 30-day trial period while I struggled to record the chat and play the part of Nelson Muntz, potential IGXE customer. So, kiddies, pardon the incomplete images, but I do have the complete transcript:

[Me] : Hmm, stay there while I do a bit of math okay?

[Me]: a 75-cent discount???

[Me] : Zoe, break out the calculator and see the newsflash — 5% of $14.98 is 75 cents.

Yea. Hell yea, sweetheart. Then without so much as an explanation, she asks for my email.

[Me]: I don’t do the long-distance relationship thing, mind you. Nor am I into the whole penpal drama.

Here’s the rest of the conversation I managed to screen-capture with the new software that took quite a while to cooperate with me. So frustrating (both the chat and the software, that is)
Her math just didn’t make any damn sense to me, nor did the 75-cent discount, which was so paltry it did absolutely nothing for my budget!
"…the 5% extra gold in the ad is the charge fee and i will give u another 5% " — There’s a charge fee??? Now where in their convoluted website does it mention a charge fee???
Time to be difficult and ask her if customers don’t confuse them with IGE and how her employer could rip off another company’s name. I also inserted a nugget of wisdom from Dirk Diggler, only to successfully piss off Little Miss IGXE. Tsk tsk.
What did I say about customer support reps trying to get rid of customers? Hey, Zoe of IGXE, no matter how difficult a customer is, you don’t diss him that way. Other better-trained reps would have tolerated a little impertinent chit-chat but not you! "Very very busy" eh? Well, I’m very very busy too but I took the time to visit your mishmash of a site and tolerate your incomprehensible math!
I called Remus and asked him if he would like to order some gold from IGXE.
"Why?" was his one-word reply.
Because, my loaded little friend, there’s a pretender to the throne just begging to be knocked down.

These people are unreal - they screwed with me from the beginning. Bought from them and then as soon as they take the $$ all of a sudden they dont have the product - after waiting over a week and me sending them email after email asking for my $$ back, they finally send someone in game to give me my product only for me to log on the next day and have it all taken from me from SOE because the person who give out the product is flagged as a money laundering company. So once again, I ask them for a refund and sent them the email I got from the SOE GM where it clearly says, we took back the coin recieved by ***** yet they keep giving me the run around telling me to take a screenshot. A screenshot of what? They have the email from SONY….
Ughhh anyway - please beware of this company. They will just screw you anyway they can.

i just purchased an item off the igxe site and as stated above they keep asking for screenshots that have nothing to do with the item or the purchase, they are beating around the bush, customer support is a joke, when i ask why my questions are not being answered she responds with “sry sir i am working with 8 other ppl” I am sorry but i paid for a product and i deserve at least one on one customer support. needless to say i have contacted paypal to see if they can help me. all i know is thank fuck i didnt use a credit card, my account would be bled dry most likley
